I picked up a SONOS system the other day and I'm looking for some more speakers to go into the ceiling. Need two more pairs. Anyone have some suggestions of what kind to pick up. There more for background then anything but I'd like them to crank everyonce in a while.

Bambamski, another forum member who shall remain nameless got me in on a deal for Proficient Audio in-walls, which I used for a friend's house (he paid obviously).

They are, quite simply, some of the best built in-walls I have seen. They sound pretty damn good too.

I've used cheapos and higher end stuff, and if you don't crank it much, it's likely not going to make a huge difference to your ears. Right now I am running some less expensive Cyber Acoustic stuff, and it's fine for the moderate volume use in my house. Certainly beats the TV speakers, and having nothing on the floor other than the sub is always a good thing.

Maybe just go to the old standard Polk Audio? I know you can get some of their in-wall stuff for $100 or so a pair.

Proficient FTW. I have 5 8" kevlars and my stepdad has 9 10" kevlars.

Never had any complaints and they are very inexpensive.
