Hey guys,
I figured I would share my ride with ya'll. It's a '93 Bayliner Capri 1850 with a 4.3L Mercruiser and Alpha 1 Drive. Yea, I know its not a Inboard but its as close as I can get to a wakeboard boat. I love this boat. Got her for a steal of a deal. Out in the boonies a guy was selling it for $1500 just needed some TLC. I reupholestered the seats and fixed some motor issues for less than a grand. Added a Tower and BAM!!! One helluva good time.

i love the enthusiasm you have for getting a good deal. looks nice, a friend of mine has a capri and i like it. he has no tower so its not as functional as yours for wakeboarding

Awesome. Seems if you look and you're willing to do your own work, you can find a deal. You definitely got one! Congrats! Now just toss some weight in there and go nuts!

Definatly great deal. Get a mere high five prop it will help a he'll of a lot on hole shots with a lot of weight as well as speed control.

Nice.
Its pretty much the same boat as mine, I have a 1990 capri I think. Its an outboard engine though, and I dont have a tower, I use a pylon. I made another thread introducing it, but havent had chance to get pics yet.

Do you weight it down at all? How do you find the wake?
I put about 150 pounds of sand in the bow, and 500 pounds in the ski locker and found it really helped with the wake which was almost no exisitant without it. I just got a another 500 pound sac im going to try in addition this weekend.

well, as a beginner the wake is fine. nothin too big, just right to learn on. I havent weighted it down yet and Im not sure Im going to. Ive changed the prop pitch, added a hydrofoil to the outdrive. so Im gonna try those first and just changing the trim angle. But I gotta wait on the temps to get back up before I can test the new additions.

Nothing compares to a real wakeboard boat however
