|
|
| I have an 18 ft. I/O deep V-hull. I have an added pylon and a fin on the prop. I've added some water sacks and plan to add more, but the wake is still small and steep. How should I weight the boat and set the trim for a good rampy wake? Anyone with a small I/O have success?

Check out my thread below titled "Sweet Wake." It might give you some ideas with an I/O.

40% of your weight in the front, the other 60% in the back.

I'd run 60% front 40% rear personally, especially if you want to mellow the wake out a bit.

if you put to much weight in the front it will wash out the wake.

1000 in the front, 700 or so in the back. Doesn't look washy to me.

Its a bayliner 1950 classic. We trim up about a 1/4 and the wake fattens & cleans up nicely.
