Hi guys,

Another quick question for you all....when I am riding the wakeboard, I have a lot of splash coming up over the front of my board and hitting my legs. I expect a bit, but how much is normal? And what is the cause for it??

Thanks again for your help.

pretty normal, it shouldnt be like a wave coming over the front obviously, but wheny our going staight it should be about a heavy mist, but what rocker line does your board have, ive noticed three stages tend to spray a bit more, and how you ride the board can depend two, What is the board your riding?

I believe it's a continuous rocker...it's a Gator board. All I know really....

I was just unsure if my stance was causing my front foot to be a bit heavy. I might try adjusting it a little tomorrow.

Thanks again hawkster for your replies.

mpst continuos rocker line boards require you to have most your wheight over your back foot, but just shift your whegiht around and see what feels most comfortable

What? Sorry, but no. For normal riding your weight should be pretty much centered, same as on a 3stage board. If you start loading your back leg, you're going to end up having a bad habit that will make your progression way more difficult.

If anything I would say that he's already putting too much weight on his back foot and that's where all the water is coming from. Try balancing your weight distribution out close to 50/50, and see what happens.

Most new people put way too much weight on their back foot because they use the fin to "steer" instead of edging, so they feel like the harder they press down on the back the more steering control they have.
