|
|
Ok so i went out today for alittle bit, which turned out to be a mistake because it was pretty choppy. I ended up catching an edge and went face first--when i hit my board caught water and my right foot stayed in but my left foot came halfway out but got stuck which was pretty painful(I had my bindings super tight). After realizing that my ankle was hurting, but not sprained thankfully, I realized that my left binding screws had come undone on both sides of the boot. (I had tightened the screws binding the boot too the board just before going out too)
So my question is how tight should these boots be screwed into the board? Should I screw them in as tight as possible until I cannot tighten them any further?? (I do not want to strip the screws or the screw holes)
Or is it posssible the my bindings or board screw holes are just shitty? (I am using a liquid force omega board and hyperlight sprint boots)
Thanks for any help! |

As tight as you can get them.
In this case: LF board+HL boots is very likely to cause problems. That's why warranty expires when you use brand X boots on brand Y board. LF inserts seem to be deeper than HL's (not always but I found that on boards of a couple years ago) so LF binding screws don't go in all the way. Leaving space for movement, and so to tear them out of the inserts.
If the screws came out the inserts must be fckd now? _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |
