I am riding behind a 1987 Mastercraft Prostar 190. I've just recently started jumping w2w but I still don't get how fast I should be going, or how far behind the boat I should be. Can anyone tell me?

Thanks guys.

If you're still learning you may want to stay down around 20-22 mph. Try to keep the rope as short as you can without being in the rooster tail. This will help you work on your technique and clear the wake where it is more narrow, then you can speed up and let the rope out as you get better.

Although if you're a little bit 'special' like me, trying on a short line can actually freak you out as everything seems really fast and close. I actuall learnt playing around with line length.

Guess I'm the only loose canon that learnt to jump w2w on a 70ft line lol

A PS190s wake is pretty narrow. 20-22 mph and 70 ft back is about right. Note that if you have a tower, the rope may be ~5ft shorter than if you have it attached to the pylon. 70ft would be from a tower. When people are first learning and clearly don't have their balance yet you can pull them a little slower - around 18mph. When you're trying to jump the wake go 20+.
