I know this board is total junk... but my nephew is wanting to learn to wakeboard... Dicks has some sorry a@# BodyGlove boards for 75.00. I am on the fence about telling him, sure go ahead and get it or NO! Save your dough and get a real board this winter. He is 15, 6ft 145 LBS.

tell him to watch craigslist, you can get decnt boards for around 100 bucks used with bindings, and im about the same as him in size and a 140 is around perfect even if im a little under the wheight, but anyway i think a used board from craigs is best, mainly because you can go look at it before you buy it unlike most ebay auctions.

Save your mony and check ebay. You can find a new board, that's a couple of years old from a real wake company for $150 - $200 on clearance.

I wouldn't let him ride with crappy bindings. As a noob he is going to crash A LOT, last thing you want is for him to twist a knee or ankle. Tx. is big into wake you should have no problem finding something much better on craigslist.

somthing like this would be good for him, http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Hyperlite-Motive-Wakeboard-128-Drive-Med-Boots-/290468183651?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a140be63

this was my first board and it was a really good one, it rode pretty fast and was pretty forgiving, only thing is once he progresses, he would want to have shorter fins as it makes it eisier to start spins and such

Good point... I was actually gonna give him my O'Brien this winter when I hopefully get a real board. I am trying to get some decent used bindings for it now. He can use my skis for the time being...
