I have a LF Trip 141. when i cut out wide of the wake and start to make my cut back in, it gets real slick feeling, like im on ice, no matter how hard I cut or how easy. once it takes a hold its fine.
Any one else have this same issue? and have a remedy?
What would be a good next board? I was looking at a S4 or a shane.
Thanks |

| sounds kinda liek you dont have enough fin grip, when your edging out it takes more time to sink the edge of the board into the water, it could be that you have less traction you should, or you need to work on your edging technique |

Intermediate skill level.
Its the only board i have ever rode, I started noticing it when i really started going hard into the wake. I let a friend ride it and he said the same thing, that it was like being on ice. Maybe it's just us. I know the board has been around since the dinosaurs. |

| how much does he ride? cuz to me it kinda almost sounds like your riding it like you ride a snowboard liek most people do whent they forst star, they try to turn the boardto move , while they should be carving |

Can be many things, but it's not the board itself. Nothing wrong with a Trip.
Maybe turning too fast, maybe have too much weight on the back, maybe you just want a bigger fin. _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

use that to your advantage to develop better edge skills. If you can get in control on that thing you'll be a way more balanced rider overall _________________

he's right. I went from a trip to a press (even smaller fins). when you are landing tricks and edging properly on a board like this you feel like you are glued to the water on most other boards.
one thing I'll add is that normal heelside always feels natural to me to put a little weight on my front foot, when I am edging back into the wake riding switch I have to think about putting weight on my front foot or i feel like the board isn't gripping. |

Sounds like your coming in to hot, take a slower turn into the wake and more of a progressive edge. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

I agree with learning the board so you learn how to edge. Every time I switch to a looser board this happens to me and I freak out and think it's the boards problem. Then 2-3 weeks later I'm cutting like none other and loving the new board. *shrug* I say give it a couple weeks until you learn to edge properly in the bugger. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |
