|
|
| Made the mistake of getting ahead of myself and paid dearly, was attempting to throw a Tantrum, studied this trick over and over, was landing my W2W consistently, getting some nice grabs and so forth. Well I decided to go for it, slowed the boat down and everything, 1st attempt was so close. second attempt I landed it but dropped the rope, third attempt I under rotated and went into the water headfirst then "POP", spiral fracture of my left tib/fib (Nice Titanium Rod in the Tib) So bummed and upset.......mad at myself for not giving myself more time to really get dialed in. And I guess it was some bad luck as well, my buddies in the boat thought it was your typical crash............so damn bummed. |

| Bummer, so what happened exactly? Did one foot come out of the bindings and one stay in? |

Man, that sounds like a freak deal, especially if you landed head-first. Drink more milk!
Sounds like you were ready for it. Really anyone could try a tantrum once they have w2w down. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

GnarShred,
I stayed in the bindings but I think I was twisted in the air and the angle of the board hitting the water caused the break. My Fib broke up near my knee and my Tib broke about 4 inches above my ankle, nice spiral fracture. I guess I am lucky I did not blow my knee out.
The real kicker is that my new slingshot response and D2 bindings came in the following day....................Guess I have something to look forward to next season.
Stang, you are exactly right, I hesitiated, just for a brief second, and that bit me in the ass for sure. |
