|
|
Hey, i always see the pros do that start where the board is fully submerged underwater instead of laying on ur back and the board poking out. I wanted to try that start cuz i feel like and idiot floating in the water on my back. Any tips so i dont look like a tard when i cant even get up even though its a diff start?
Thanks,

It took me a couple tries to learn these now I can do them well all you have to do is bend your knees and point your toes up as the boat takes off and your board should slice upwards through the water kinda watch the first half of the video it tells you how to do it on a wakeskate but its pretty much the same thing.

cool cool, thanks bud.
Also, does it matter if i still have the fins on my board? Will that make it harder?
Been thinking about taking em off but not sure yet. _________________ mounger25 wrote:

No problem and the fins won't make it easier or harder getting up. The fins just affect your riding when you get up. With fins on edging and carving is easier and not sliding out is easier making jumping easier. But surface tricks are harder. |

Not sure if this qualifies as a "deep water start", but I sit in the water like regular with the board out, driver idles forward and the board immediately sinks deep, then driver pulls me up slowly. I found this a lot easier than trying to battle the board to submerge it. |

Pop Addict, Im not sure either my brother does that since he can't push his board down either. To get my board under neath me I slam one end down into the water so the other end is sticking up and then I push my self over it by doing like a breath stroke. Thats just what works for me. _________________ Wake Up and Wake It up |

This is how I start all the time now. It takes a lot less effort. To get into the position, there must be tention on the rope. I usually tell the driver to put some tension on the rope and pull my feet down into position once there is tension. After that I tell him (or her) to hit it. I allow my knees to bend and I keep my weight back as usual and I pop right up. |

I worked on this to get it down too. First time out just jump in the water and balance the board under you. Try to stay somewhat seated when the handle comes to you and the boat pulls a little. Put a little weight on your butt and let the boat pull you out.
If you fall and you're on your back, wait for the rope to come around a bit to where you can get a tug from it from the boat. Grab the rope and let it pull you into the "standing" position, then let go for it to flow again. Do this before the handle gets to you. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |
