be patient and wait, hard to walk with some effed up eardrums, get on a tramp and practice spins and flips until you can get back out there _________________ Lithic, LLC, my biz

I perfed mine riding and there's nothing you can do. Stay out of the water until it's healed. You'll be in a lot worse shape if you manage to get water in there. No type of ear plug is going to protect you enough, and they could still fall out. A couple weeks off is nothing compared to what could turn into a lifetime of ear and balance problems. |

a friend had this happen to him on a bad nose catch - he did a cartwheel and his ear must have been the first thing to hit the water. I agree with the others, be patient and let it heal up. Lift weights, jog, or sit and play video games in the meantime _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

This happened to me at Texas Ski ranch two weeks ago. My doctor said its going to be more like 2-3 months before its healed and I have a small hole. I got a custom fit earplug they said i can wear if I wanna wakeboard. I haven't tried it yet but will be this weekend. Hopefully it doesnt fall out!
I also ordered some vented earplugs to wear once it heals so this doesnt happened again.

Let it heal. An infected inner ear is absolutely no fun, and can cause permanent damage. Sucks, but have patience. You'll be riding before you know it. _________________ One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them. One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. |
