Board too short??

Hey, i'm (older) & 6'2" @ 270# ~ I've been trying my sons Hyperlite 140.
I can get on plane - but I'm about 6" - 8"under water!

Would a longer board give more surface to ride proper?

Chime in to help not just me ~ there MUST be others out there that don't KNOW. Thanks

At your size I would look for the longest board you can find. I'm 225 and ride a 141 and it's ok. Last year I rode a 145 and it felt a lot better.

I would try 145 or 147.
At your size a bigger board will make it easier for you to get up.
