stang killa ss has motivated my wife to motivate me to get a bimini built for our tower. when i get the frame built this week, i will be dropping it off at the powder coater. im trying to keep the complete budget for the whole build under $300.

4 1"x10' tubing and 4 90* bends from home depot
$36

2 yards x 80" sunbrella fabric (got a $5 coupon for signing up with www.outdoorfabriccentral.com)
$61 shipped

4 2" bimini top mount clamps from diy wake http://www.diywake.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=567
$96 shipped

stainless bolts, nuts, and washers
$0 (its good to be friends with the hardware store guy!!)

12" 1/2" pipe for sleaves and 1"x4'x1/4" aluminum bar for suports
$8.30

when i get started on the frame i will post up some pics of the progress.

Yeah, thanks stang killa ss for the motivation! It is going to be so nice. I know that, thanks to your post and hard work, jeff (kartman) will do an awesome job building it. Mr. Green

Here is the one I just completed. I ordered bimini clamps from diywake.com and picked up tubing and bimini hardware from a local place.

test for rope clearance! Mine extends 12" beyond my tow point but i bent a slight downward angle to make sure. I have plenty of clearance but when I did mine the boat was in a shed with the concrete about 4" above the ground at the entrance and about 8 to 12 where my 9 year old stood with the handle at his waist. When I'm in the water its close but once I'm up there's no issue. Downside is with it above the tower it limits the shade because of height but I'm 6'4" and my head rubs the front bar on my tower. Please share some pics when your done. I have $350 in mine but I had the local Amish stitch it and install the snaps which cost me 100 bucks but it's alot nicer than I could have done.

just picked up the frame from bucks bags. they did a great job. it was a little spendy, but they edged it with black webbing, and put on stainless snaps, and a lot of them. pics will come later today or tomorow when i quit being lazy on my day off. Very Happy

the fabric you listed.. does it come premade or what? i have an older bimini and want a new color(i'd like to keep the metal poles since they work fine) to match my boat.

just curious if they have what i'm looking for..
