Hey guys,
I'm relatively new to wakeboarding, my buddies have taken me out quite a bit this summer and have gotten me HOOKED. I'm still in the early stages and want to get better. My friends board I have been practicing on is an advanced level board (l.f ???) and another is the O'Brien Clutch (easier than the l.f).
I'm 20 years old and am 5'9 170. I've been researching boards quite a bit but want to buy something that I can progress with once I get the basics down. I'm looking at the Liquid Force Trip, Ronix Vault, and O'Brien Clutch. Can anybody give their 2 cents on any of these boards or recommend a different board for me??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I have the Trip and it's a pretty basic all-around board for any level rider. It doesn't have the advanced features and designs as pro model boards, but it's solid. It'll take you through the basics and into the advanced stuff. It's not a bad board for someone getting into the sport who doesn't want to spend a ton. The LF PS3 is also a petty good board at roughly the same price, but it's styled a bit differently. What I would do is gather all the specs on the Clutch since you find it to be the easier board to ride, and find boards from other companies that are similar. Also take note of the LF board you've been on and check the specs on it to see what's different.

Me and my buddy both ride vaults, If you're going to get one then finless is the only way to go with it. It pops much better then the CWB pure that I learned on, landings are a bit rougher though too. Although I never jumped the CWB near as high or far as the Ronix. We're both just getting into tantrums and 360's the board stays really locked in but I find it's not as easy to break loose for surface tricks as the CWB was.

All in all I love the board still and will likely ride it till I break it(or it delaminates, which Ronix seems to be notorious for).
