Practice doing ollie bs 180s landing blind. It's hard to ride for a significant period of time that way. I usually spin it back.

Hold the handle as far behind your back as you can get, up to your front hip if possible. You have to lean on your toe-edge pretty hard so you keep from rotating around. Check out the intro in the video in my profile.

Ok so I landed like 12 bs ollie 180s to blind but i was landing with my left hand straightened out behind my back instead of tucked into the small of my back will this make a difference when I take it wake to wake? If it will how can I make myself put the handle into the small of my back or what should I think about while doing it.

HHI Dave, Laughing thanks. Got lucky with the landing on that one but it's on film so I'll take it!

eric mf soler, When you take them wake to wake you really want to hold that handle low. When you hold it above your waist, it's going to pull you over forward. Do you do w2w bs180s with a handle pass? If not I'd definitely get comfortable with that first, like really comfortable.

No I can't do wake to wake backside 180s with a handle pass thats why I am going to try them blind because it seems like no matter how hard I try I never get the handle pass or if I do get the handle pass I don't rotate enough and I catch my edge and smash into the water the same thing happens to me on my 3s even though I have landed one of those

They are so much easier to land with a handle pass. Landing blind you have to land with the board at the perfect angle, on edge, and without much rotation.

I pass the handle early because if you hold it in the right spot it pulls your body to the position you need to be in for landing.

When you're practicing them slow the boat down a few mph, bring the rope in so the wake is pretty thin. You don't need a ton of air or a ton of rotation. If you pass the handle and hold it at your lead hip you will generally get the rotation. I just always had the problem of getting pulled over. You just really have to focus on holding the handle below your waist.

I just worked on TS FS 3's and tried to land them blind. Never really got it down but I did get better from trying over and over again.
