Just seeing if anyone has experienced this with their ronix one board. Its a 2007 and i have taken care of it very well, and living in Canada it only see's the water 3-4 months a year. After taking off my bindings the whole top layer lifted off. I know its a three year old board but you'd think a pro model board worth $450 (almost $600 in Canada) would hold up after 3 years, which most of that time the board was sitting in my room.

I have never seen a board delam like that. Are you sure it's not a protective cover or something that is supposed to come off?

nope because all the ronix emblems are on top of it, and under is flat white and it lifted off some of the graphics, EDIT actually I have gotten a response from ronix and the guy I am dealing with is going to try and help me out, maybe a deal on a new board I am very impressed.

You might be outta luck. Warranties across the industry pretty much only cover a year. It sucks but it might just be time to throw down the cash for something new, I doubt you'll get anywhere with Ronix at this point.
There are plenty of good deals out there and you can buy brand new older model boards in closeouts online.
I'm not too up on wakeboard construction but although it has the graphic on it and everything, it might just be a protective topsheet. I had a liquid force board that the bottom graphic completely peeled off of and it still rides fine. It might be worth it to try just pulling that entire sheet off and not worrying about it until the deck breaks. Or starts to see some non-cosmetic wear/cracks.

| I think they may have had a problem with the one. I bought a used 2008 and all the lamination shattered in shipping lucky for me the seller haqd another one and swapped it out. I see the same seller selling a lot of 08 Ronix Ones with cracks around the binding area.

| I possibly have some good news, looks like ronix might cut me a deal, not a new board for free but some sort of compensation, so if they do that id be more then happy considering I was expecting a response of two bad is past the one year warranty. I did take off the whole top layer, might do some cool art work on the top and clear it with an epoxy resin, might make a nice decoration.

my 07 ronix one was crap durability wise.. the top deck faded pretty bad and some of the silver badging has cracked off and such and I baby all my gear.
I love LF's boards but the good thing with Ronix is they have a limited lifetime warranty. So for one year you are covered completely. after that they cover about half the price of the board which I think is really cool.
glad they're helpin you out

Im not sure about Ronix but I had a Hyperlite that delam'd and it was past the warranty and they ended up replacing it for me for free. I would contact Ronix directly and at least ask.

Nice avatar.... Peel it off I think that layer is suppose to be for uv protection and graphics. should be fine without it.

It's very very unusual for a board to delainated like that, as others have said it looks more like a covering.
Glad that Ronix are hooking you up, that's very nice of them.

| Ronix is going to give me a new 2010 board of my choice for 50% off, so I am pretty happy with that.

GnarShredd, that's their warranty. it's a limited lifetime, or atleast that's how it is with the 07's. not sure about their new boards. but for one year you are covered, every year after you're covered half!
congrats xsuperstar on getting hooked up with the new ibex!
