Hey guys,
I recently picked up a new 2010 Watson Classic with Vantage bindings. I prefer a tighter binding than the Vantages can offer with the velcro, and I'm looking to find a good pair of closed toes to put on. I was strongly considering the Watsons because I've heard great things about them in general. Does anybody have opinions on the 09's versus the 2010's? Plus if anyone has any other suggestions or where I might find a good deal that would be awesome. Thanks for any input you may offer! |

They are both great bindings. I felt the same way about the vantages but if you pull them out to the side really hard then pull them straight up and then velcro them you can get them surprisingly tight. I ended up really liking them by the time they broke. Cant go wrong with either watsons i just got the 2010s but havent ridden them yet im sure they are just as good as all his other bindings have been. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

I've worn both the 09 and 10 Watson bindings and my preference is the 2009 if you like a stiff boot. In my opinion they are stiffer than the 2010's. Also, I don't like how high the 2010's sit up and the footbed always comes out which is annoying.
But between the 2008 & 2009 Watson's, I thing the 2008's are more comfortable and fit my foot better. It's just personal preference though and how they fit my foot. |

shaggyboarder, I have noticed recently what you said about how to tighten them. I like them better now, but I still think I will pick up a pair of watsons and throw the vantages on my old board to use at the cable park. I love how easy the velcro makes it to get in and out of the bindings.
dalderman, Thanks for the input on the Watson's. I had wondered about what the difference was between the different footbed styles. I haven't tried either one, but from what you said, I may go ahead and pick up a pair of 09's.
Like you both said, however, I don't really think I can go wrong with either of Watson's bindings. Thanks for the replies! |

| Check out the shanes as well. They aren't as stiff as the watson's (which I like) but they are a lot more comfortable imo. I ride the 08's |

| I will definitely have to check the Shanes out also. I have heard great things about both, but I didn't realize the Shanes were less stiff. thanks! |
