So today it was too rough to wakeboard so we decided to surf for a bit. We don't surf too often lately because it has getting a bit boring and after 30 minutes we decided to change it up, so we decided to just fill the 1500 lbs of rear ballast and try riding our wakeboards at surf speed on the surf rope. What a blast! We found you needed to keep the speed around 12. I'm sure to the other boats we looked like we didn't know what we were doing riding so slow on such a short rope.

The funnest part was after I got the hang of it I started landing 180's and then landed some back rolls at 12mph on a 20 foot rope. Hilarious times and it was a fast spin! So if you are out on rough water give it a try just for laughs. There is something funny about a 5 foot W2W.

leviwynnyk, hell yeah dude, I've been doing that for a while. It's a lot of fun. You can basically take a huge ollie off of a meaty, soft wake. Love it. It's a great way to work on blind landings too.

That does sound like something fun to try sometime. I had thought about it one time and wondered if it would work.
