What are you guys doing with your binding liners? Are you using a heat system to mold your bindings or just doing it by riding in them? I have heard good and bad with both methods.
If you do mold what heat system are you using? I am looking to buy one for the shop and snowboard heat systems are all I can find.
I have had 2 people ask about molding and want to offer it up if they really want to do it. _________________ Wakeskating

I just break mine in the old fashioned way, but I don't see anything wrong with throwing a hair dryer or 'made-for-wakeboard-boot' heaters in there to speed up the process in-shop. Might be nice actually. What are the cons to heating the liners? Break down more over time? _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

yes some say that is does cause the liner to lose some of comfort.....but you know how all these message boards are full of 'opinions'.
i think intuition sells a heater. i might just buy one to have. _________________ Wakeskating

You can use a hair dryer, I've also heard hot water works but I'm sure you don't want to deal with that in a store, haha. I don't have any experience with them but I imagine the snowboard boot systems will work fine.
If nothing else it will impress people who don't know what they're talking about. ("Yeah, I got these custom heat-molded at the shop by their machine, nobody else does that".) Get one and play it up a lot more than it really is, you'll have people lining up!
I don't really see the point in heat-molding though. I just ride in my boots and the mold to your feet over time and stay pretty cushioney (not a word, so what?). To me heat molding just seems to speed up the break-in process (and in turn, boots become uncomfortable faster). But to each his own i guess. |

I prefer to heat mold whenever I can. New boots kill the first few sets to break them in |
