I can't seem to find anything in town and the guy at our main marine shop had never heard anything about it, he suggested just using a white epoxy. Is there anything better suited to the job? People know of an online shop? it's got to be able to ship to Canada as well...

Thanks in advance:)

a guy at a marine shop never heard of gelcoat repair. you can buy gelcoat in a little tube and just apply it to your boat. also you can put it in a sprayer hooked up to an air compressor for a more even coat and for larger areas.

how deep is the damage in the gelcoat? you could fill it with bondo and then paint on a coat of regular gel coat.

I sure wouldn't be going in that place anymore! Surprised

Gel repair kits are available at decent marine supplies as well as on line. They com in a couple sizes and have the tinting colors so you can match the gel color.

Stay away from the Marine Tex. It claims to do everthing and it may but not very good!!
