|
|
Earlier this month we demoed a Axis A22 and decided that we would be getting one as our next boat. We've got a black and white one on order, and I am really hoping we can take it out Memorial day weekend. Spray date is May 19th, so it's going to be close, but either way we are totally stoked. It's going to be a HUGE step up from our 06 Bayliner 175.
Matt over at Minnesota Inboard was great to work with. We met him (and the rest of the MN Inboard crew) at the Minneapolis boat show, and were really impressed by how professional and helpful they were. This was reinforced by our experience with the test drive when Matt went over every feature and function of the boat, and gave us plenty of time to make sure we were comfortable with our decision. He and Adam at Axis worked together to answer my many questions about the build process and the boat. I can't say enough good things about Minnesota Inboard, and I suspect I will be a customer of theirs for a very long time.
Can't wait to be riding behind our A22! |

jjaszkow, I think black and white looks very good on a boat, but I'm somewhat biased I guess.
Congrats! _________________ wakeboards

DRAGON88, we debated a LOT about what colors to choose. Were trying to decide between light graphite (grey) and white, all light graphite, all black, or black and white. After lots of discussion at the dealership, we went with black and white flipside gel coat with cement (grey) and black vinyl.
Hoping we'll be happy with the color choices when it shows up (especially the grey rather than white interior), but the VTX we looked at in the showroom with a similar color scheme looked pretty sharp. |

| Chattwake, thanks. I think we'll be upgrading the stereo over the winter, so I'll let you know when we are ready to order. |

jjaszkow, Congrats! I am sure you will be happy with it. Axis and the people there are great to work with and they really build a quality boat. Adam and Matt have always been great help and a great resource. They put up with my constant questions and have been patient with me lol.
You will like the cement over white I think. We went with cement and its just alot better in my opinion. It doesnt show dirt as bad and I think it flows with the style of the boat well. The interior speakers are direct swap out with Wetsounds XS650s. The screwholes meet up perfect. The only thing you will have to do is cut the end of the wire and put a bigger connector on. The MTX uses a smaller adaptor.
Congrats again, stoked for you! _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Power Wedge isnt offered as an option. The reasoning behind it is if you are paying for a power wedge and the other options to step up to a Malibu. They can't offer power wedge and keep within the price point to build and parts suppliers etc. Makes sense to me. _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Yeah, I think I heard that. The Axis boat will support it, it's more of an FU, forcing you to go to Malibu. If you're paying for the option they should sell it to you. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| Power wedge was one of the first things that I asked about when I was looking at it at the boat show. I do wish it was an available option, but only having the "auto-set wedge" option certainly wasn't a deal breaker for me. We did include the wedge and the plug and play ballast in our option package. |

| dirtysparks, it's got the plug and play. Just need to install the bags. Has pretty much everything except for the blinged out trailer and the tower speakers (speakers and amps of my choosing will be going in over the winter). |

You'll love that boat. I did a write up about riding behind one the other day with Matt Bishop. Matt and I installed a plug and play system in that boat in about 30 minutes, and with sacks full and the wedge down, the wake was absolutely slamming. You'll love that boat.
Every time I get in an Axis, I find something else that I like about that boat. |
