So I front-row witnessed this guy I know from my old high school deck my friend in the face. She needed 32 stiches and re-constructive surgery. Ultimately I am supposed to testify next weed, except I just received a letter in the mail saying the charges were dropped. It seems odd and fake to me. Cheap and unprofessional. It basically says not to attend because "the charges have been withdrawn by the Crown". I thought maybe my friend backed out but she hasn't said or done anything nor recieved any letter like this. Could this be a trick to get me to not attend the trial?

1. Phone the court to confrim.

Option 2 sounds pretty good. Sounds like guy needs to get his balls chopped for decking a girl like that.

| Or it could mean the guy took a plea and you are no longer needed. Happens more often than not. Call the court and ask. |

She left a message on Thursday, they havent gotten back...she also knows nothing about this letter, and did not recieve one.

Does the court not have a website that allows you to look up the status of a case either by case number or by party's name?
