| Get a paternity test done asap. Don't listen to anything until that test comes back positive. |

I agree on the PT. Knowing for sure makes a big difference. If she does like my ex did, it will come back to bite you later in life if you don't...especially if she is convinced it is.
Eventhough you may not be ready (which none of us ever are), a child is truly a blessing, no matter what the situation is. If it turns out to be the case, just do your best to love your child and you'll be good. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Okie is right on all fronts. Absolutely get the PT done. If it turns out it is yours, that is not a horrible thing. I completely freaked when I found out I was going to have a kid, thought it was the end of the world, knew I wasn't ready, etc. but it is the single best thing I ever did. _________________

| Don't panic just yet, have her take a test while you are there. It wouldn't be the first time a chick claimed to be knocked up to try and get an ex back. |

cmoroy, when was the last period she had and when was the last time you boned her? Women are most fertile about 8 days since the last day of their last period for about a week so pretty much day 8-15. Good Luck buddy... coitus interruptus my friend, coitus interruptus _________________ Liquid Force

Were you wearing a Red Bull hat? If so, this could have all been avoided.

htownbdr, depending on where you are at and how old the patient is, you would be amazed at what comes out of the attendings mouth. In Belle Glade, FL there was no such thing as the term "sexual intercourse" and with an average patient age of 17, the doc NEVER ONCE mentioned using condoms for protection. The only thing that they wanted were the shots or the implanon, and we were asked several times per day about the proper way to pull out. "Is it ok if he goes in my ___" and beyond. Mind you this is where the AIDS epidemic started in the United States. What is amazing is that we didn't have on positive HIV test the entire month. I asked the doctor about it and he said that essentially all of the people who were to get the virus in the 80s early 90s did and died and basically the people left have almost an immunity to whatever strain of virus that was most prevalent there. Obviously there are some people much more susceptible to HIV than others, and depending on your protein markers, you can be completely immune from contracting the disease because it has no way to enter your cell and replicate. He said their is actually a study going on right now about how HIV has become essentially avirulent in Belle Glade. I mean everyone has a friend that you always think to yourself, it is completely impossible that he/she has not gotten anything SERIOUS by now. Our prime example on wb.com would be JT
now its even more fun trying to ask about bowel movements and "flatus". "Despite not having a bowel movement for the past three days, have you been producing flatus?"
"Huh?"
"Have you farted since you haven't gone #2?"
"Ohhhhhh...yeah been farting up a storm"
"Ok good, farting is the best thing you can do for us in the hospital. Make sure to keep it up"
one of the more common reenactments i have experienced on my hospital rotations. For some reason they respond better to fart then passing gas, even the grandmas... _________________ Liquid Force

who broke up with who in this little predicament? how long were you with her? did she have a long term ex before you? was she ever receiving texts past 11pm-12am on a regular basis? does she have any piercings bellow the belly button? does she have more than two tattoos? does she have any pregnant friends or friends who have gotten preggo/aborted? is her tongue pierced? are her parents divorced? has she caught you cheating on her before? have you cheated on her before and "not" got caught? has she ever cheated on an ex before? does she work at a zoo?
Those are all of the questions I could think of right now. _________________ Liquid Force

I myself am pro-choice, she is not. However I dont think it should be even considered an option. We both have a sustained income and health insurance through the military. As of right now we both live in shreveport. As much of a surprise as the kid is and how scared I am, it still has a fair chance at a good life.
I did not end the relationship on a bad note, and it was civil. I dont plan on trying to resume that relationship just b/c she is carrying my kid. |

When you say blood test are you saying she got a blood test to confirm she is preggo? Definitely pursue the paternity test to be sure it is yours, then move on. I definitely like your attitutde and plan as noted by Aubs. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

Man. Hindsight's 20/20 folks. I'd say it's pretty damn shocking to be told by an ex that she's preggo with your kid. Sure, there are ways to avoid getting someone pregnant, but it's kindof too late to be lecturing the op about that. |
