Embarking on an adventure. This if my first purchase of a wake-boarding boat. Limited to range $10K to $15K and came across this boat with 670 hours. Hull interior in great shape. Receipts show a $4K stereo install in 2004. He is including ballast sacs and completed 100 hour service 2 months age. He agreed to let it go for 16K. Pushing initial goal for price, but wanting to know if anyone has suggestions. There is another V-drive in area that's 1998 v210 Sanger and not sure how they compare for wake-boarding experience.

boy a v-drive hovering around the 15k mark sure sounds like a great deal to me. I'd say if it has perfect pass and the ballast system all wired up to jump on it (assuming the boat runs well, is in good condition, etc).
Just my $.02
Might want to double check the hull is the wakeboarding hull, I can't remember when they started mixing in the diamond hull (for skiing) or w/e, but make sure it has the wakeboarding hull. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

No perfect pass and the ballast system is sacs in ski locker and one on each side of engine.
Thanks for the reply |

They are both good boat IMO. I am more partial to sangers since I have owners goggles on. Do you have a link to the sanger? _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

I have a 98 vlx and its a great boat. Mine has 1100 hrs and runs like a champ. Great wake for wakeboarding. The sanger v210 is also a great wakeboarding boat, my only gripe is the sundeck is not flat unless its got the black scorpion option. You cant go wrong with either assuming they are in good shape _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

put PP in it right away. Don't even think about it. Buy it. Get it installed. You'll only find out that you want it a few years down the road and that entire time you could have been enjoying it.
Seriously.
Get it right now before your boat even comes. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

2001 was the only year a Sunsetter VLX had the diamond hull.

I'd advise against this. Inboards have a learning curve to driving them correctly, pp is great for riding, but you need to learn how to drive the boat. Take some time and LEARN how to pull a rider correctly. _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com
