SSSSOOOO, I ran over my buddy's rope/handle last weekend. (first time in my LONG career in & around boats!!) We had to cut the rope & leader off the handle to free it.

unfortinitaly I can not find the handle (07 Ronix Totem) to replace it. Is there a way to re-string the handle?

Also, I remember my uncle repairing ropes before (by weaving them back together), is that possible with the new style wakeboard ropes??

Personally Ive had a couple ropes break on me one behind the boat and I broke a handle at the cable. Both right as I was about to take off for a trick, fortunatley I made it out with no problems, but I wouldnt test my luck repairing a handle. Im sure it can be done but your safest bet is to spend the money and get some new equipment.

It's possible (of course, since that is how it's made) but it is very difficult to knot by hand because it doesn't stretch. I'm pretty sure this stuff is string by a machine. I do a lot of regular ropes (slalom, etc.), but no stretch is hard. Strength will not be lowered, but I wouldn't bother if I were you.
