I did a quick search and couldn't come up with anything quickly.
A friend of mine just got this handle and Byerly mainline, just wondering if anyone had/was using one and experienced any issues with the handle wrap slipping. It's supposed to be better than a typical leather wrap, but I wanted to hear it from someone else. _________________

I think bridges just bought that line. Not sure if he got one with a wrap though.. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Right handle. This is the main line.

It's the same company as the one you have, so hopefully there will be no issues. I've just heard some bad things about those styles. _________________

| what bad things have u heard? that grip gets tackier when wet and its super comfortable.. my handle isnt hard or anything on the outside its all plastic rubbery feel and look. so no hard parts on it or nothing.. i love it! but just curious as to the things u heard so maybe i can watch out for it and dont mess it up.. |

Not about that handle, but I heard that most leather wrapped handle tend to break loose and slip, which has turned me away for the most part. He got both for $100, so there was really no passing that up. The rope alone is worth that. _________________

I'm personally looking at a T5 since my zero carbon keeps messing up. Replaced it twice and the grip is coming apart again. _________________

Okay, I'm bumping this thread because this thread because the handle, while it has an awesome feel, has a side job as a boat anchor. I've never seen a handle sink like this does. The description said floatless, but I thought it meant that it had no visible floaters, not that it simply would not. I suggested to my friend to fill the inside with expandable foam. Hopefully, that will float it enough to do the job, but my question now is why would you want a handle that didn't float? _________________

i told you it was going to sink.. that was it called the BYERLY FLOATLESS HANDLE.
it just prolly weighs a little less, and thats it, but there a few handles that dont float real good.. its no big deal if you pay attention were the rope is.. |

lol I know you did, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why you would sacrifice having a handle that floats for any other benefit. It's real easy to figure out where the handle is though, you just have to follow the rope from the tower over the side of the boat and the handle will be about 60' straight down. _________________

| after u fall or someone else falls, have the 3rd person (spotter) or another person roll up the rope as they come around to pick u up.. and just take the handle and go again.. u need to roll it up everytime u fall so if its shallow were u at on the lake it wont be scraping on the bottom and tear up ur handle and catch onto a giant log and rip off and u lose it or ur tower if the log is giant.. just roll it up and u wont have to worry about running over it or getting messed up.. |
