I bought some 2009 LF Shane CT last year in February brand new and now the bindings are coming apart at the seams and lace loops are busting just about every time I ride. Since I'm 2 1/2 months past the warranty date 2/14/2010 nobody can warranty them for me.

Anyone else having similar problems with their LF gear?

If you rid a lot, you're gonna break gear. It happens. I've broken gear from every manufacturer I've ever owned. You gotta think that wakeboarding is very hard on the gear you use, especially the bindings. You're cranking the laces down several times for each set, the water is dissolving glue and making all the materials softer, and crashing can put tremendous strain on bindings, baseplates and inserts. Something's eventually gonna give.

And another reason wakeboarding is better than surfing, you die less, that means you have another day to wakeboard, which is more fun than surfing anyway.

I have the same problem, I also have been through 3 pair because of the broken baseplate. Although I don't like to think bindings should have that problem, Lakeiolaluke is dead on. The more you ride, the more you will realize that gear is going to break. I do think LF is figuring it out though and their 2010 bindings look really promising, not that there was much wrong with their older stuff.
