Has anyone ever considered putting more ballast on the drivers side due to more passengers sitting on the opposite side in a v-drive boat?

I always have the heavy people shift to the drivers side, but would putting 750lbs on the driver side and only 400lbs on the other side weigh the boat dispropotionately in the water and cause problems? Seems like an easy way to make up for 2 extra people sitting opposite the driver.

I do the opposite in my DD, but it makes sense. The whole idea is that you want to balance weight to get the wake shape consistent on both sides, whatever it takes.

My concern would be that there is equal weight on both sides of the boat overall:

750lbs ballast + 2 people on the driver side
400lbs ballast + 4 people on the opposite

but that this weight is evenly spread out opposite the driver but is concentrated in the back on the driver side.

Perhaps I'm worrying too much about a 300lb difference being in the rear vs midship on the driver side?

Just curious if anyone else has setup a system this way.

thanks
