hello, just started riding last year. rode an old obrien 142. im 6'3 and 260+ pounds.(end of last year i did get below 255 though) anyways. looking to get a new board this year, something with more pop. but im wondering about size aswell.

the board selection sites say things like 165 and up is 140 and bigger, so the biggest board i can find is 147. but is that too big? 142 got me up, but i think i rode alittle low in the water. so a bigger 144+ would get me up more? and cause more pop aswell?

should i go 3 stage or continuous? any help would be appreciated thanks
