Hey guys this is my first post here. i have a question about the boat i am looking at. Its a Mastercraft prostar 214v. i believe it has 700 pounds of ballast as well. does anyone have any experience riding behind these? My dad is a skier and he'll be skiing behind it, as i will be boarding. Also... it unfortunatley has the "mini"tower. anyone with experience there? Let me know. Thanks. Im getting a very good deal if i want to buy it, well below the list. it's a 2008 brand new, sticker is 83, listing for 53,500 and i can take it for 48000....

looks like a better boat. in my humble opinion. Its a v-drive, has listed hours on it, a regular tower and all the great things a boat like that should have. _________________ Lake Shelbyville, IL |

Sorry, just saw that the boat you listed was brand new. still would like the x-2, probably a good reason why it has no hours is because there are much better boats for the price. _________________ Lake Shelbyville, IL |

What is with the "mini" tower? I've never seen one like that. Just seems silly. _________________ 2010 Watson Hybrid

I agree that if you have a budget that high, that you can certainly do better. Most people get "ga, ga" eyes over a boat they're looking at though so we might not even be able to change your mind.
Take a deep breath, there are lots of good deals out there, the boat you're looking at isn't necessarily "the one".
If you really want a crossover boat then ask for some opinions on what models to get. I, for one, would DEEPLY consider what you're doing before buying a crossover. Your dad will be skiing behind it, but you're the one who's buying it and *you* like wakeboarding. People can still ski behind wakeboard boats it's just not as good as it could be. How picky is your dad honestly? It's *your* boat. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

| I can get you a new 2008 Super Air Nautique 211 Team Edition through my local dealership for that price on a trailer out the door. There are other offers on the boat, so it might not last through the weekend, but I thought I'd point out that there are other smoking deals on crossovers out there. |

i found a 2006 xstar with only 99 hours (edit, brain fart) that im probably gonna buy. So, i'm pretty stoked.

Good luck in your search. The X15 will ski better than the xstar, depends how much of a ski boat you want. Both of the X boats will be everything you need for wakeboarding. I'd go with the 15, more versatile unless you're sold on the pickle fork look. _________________ '06 X2, MCX, PP |
