So I just bought a 1989 mastercraft prostar. Has the tower, racks, speakers, etc.. I would like to know how to weight it to get a nice poppy wake. I was thinkin 2, 750 lb sacs toward the back seat on the sides and a 750 lb bow sack up front. Is that too much? thanks in advance. oh, here is a picture..

Sounds about right to me too. You might try just the 750's in the back sides and see if you can get the wake washy. If not, add more weight in the back, then add the weight up front to clean it up.
Looks like the boat is in pretty good shape. Post some more pics!
Looks like the tower I'm putting on my Supra (Aerial Airborne).

Off what Okie said.... maybe get the 750s for the reat and two 450s so you have more flexability. You definately want to weight the rear of the boat until you cant keep a clean wake.... then start loading the front until it cleans up. You want the boat to be as much rear heavy as it can tolerate without wasing the wake out. This usually gives the best peak...
Now each boat is different and each rider has his own preference. If you load bow heave, you tend to get a wader, less peaky wake.
However, I have never loaded your particular boat... so just take this as a general rule of thumb. You will just need to shift the weight around and see how the wake responds.

Shouldn't need much weight up front. My old Prostar would throw a great, clean wake witha 750bag all the way in back and about 400lbs of passengers sitting on it. Didn't need any weight up front, it was still clean with over 1000lbs in the back.
Nice boat, you'll love it!
