I think all kinds of grabs are good. Don't do what I did and get used to grabbing in one spot. Move that hand around and learn to give all the areas of your board a good squeeze (boards need love too).

I think the other advice here is sound. Riding switch might sound lame, but you have no idea how much of a better rider you will become if you learn it. 180's and perhaps 360's.

Fashion air to blind is a dope trick. Really it is, I'm not being sarcastic.

Make sure you have your HS and TS solid. Get your switch going. Grab and poke your board in every single way you can imagine. Now do it with your front hand to work on grabs like Methods. Get your 180s poppin from all sides of the wake from TS and HS. Grab the stuff out of all of your 180s. Repeat for 360s. Repeat for 540s. etc. Work on Inverts both HS and TS. Grab em.

Work on surface tricks. Ollies, ollie spins, presses, bonk a no wake buoy, do a FS wake slide, do a BS wake slide.

That should get you started Laughing

savage3221 thanks for the advice. i will work on those tricks. In your video at rope length and speed were you being pulled at. Did you have any ballast in the boat??? Once again thanks a lot for the advice

I can't remember what exactly I was being pulled at in that video at the time (it was two seasons ago), but it was somewhere between 21 and 23mph and a rope length around 70-75'. I've since moved out to almost 80' though and riding between 22 and 24mph depending on the day/wake.

I definitely had ballast in the boat, stock filled to the brim, and probably two fatsacs.

pat your head and rub your belly. It seems simple at first, but only the pros can really nail it with style.
