nice. he is getting big.

i'm coaching my little brother's soccer team this spring. he's 16 now, and it's starting to take a lot more effort to knock him off the ball. he's playing center mid and starting to control the game. it's really nice to start seeing the time we have all spent at practices, games, and traveling pay off. he's turning into a real soccer player.

Good for him & for you! I am sure that is a cool experience, for both of you, to coach your little brother.

Yes....she is a monster.... Laughing Fortunately(unfortunately Confused ) she cannot get enough ice time to satisfy her.... Even have her in private power skating lessons due to her drive.... She is a bit of a nutcase.... Funny, in a school project, she needed to give 3 descriptive clues to have other students guess who she was....her #1 "I have a very powerful slapshot." Only 7 year old kid I have personally seen snap a stick... Granted, it was an APX, which IMO is the most fragile twig on the planet.... The LM went through two in 3 months and I said enough...no more...

Thread revival.... More so because after 3 years, I am now entering his last HS games.... UNBELIEVABLE how fast this has gone and I don't mind saying that it gives me a little anxiety knowing that he very well may play his last hockey game for anyone other than a Men's League team in 10 months.... WOW this has gone fast.

Though his travel team was the Jr. Grizzlies in the regular season, he was ask to play for the Regulators, on a team they are putting in the Men's league this Summer. The HS Summer season starts next week....

After being up 3-2, lost 5-3....

First time putting on a Regulators jersey.... Meh....may take some getting use to....

Playing some D....

Had 3 really good chances(didn't convert)....this was one..... The best I got caught watching.....it was a beautiful move, split two defenders on a break and snapped one that was shouldered away....UGH!

WHAT!?!?!!?!?! Surprise....surprise.... Rolling Eyes

That's a wrap.... Been a Hell of a 4 year ride.... Can't believe it went by so fast & I'm that old.... Confused

Last goal, game before getting knocked out... Gave them the lead in the 3rd. Gave up a late goal, but won it shootout.

Look at his sister, top middle, think she is excited.... Very Happy

Leaving the ice for the last time... Tough stuff, but could not be more proud of the past 4 years.

Laughing Laughing Laughing Who would have thought they'd start up Summer Middle School League....

Tonight was the start of the Middle School Summer Hockey League. With the success of the HS League, they started a MS league a few years ago. Teams affiliate with the HS in their MS district. Eligible kids are going into 6th-7th-8th grade.

It it was our first ever skate with these kids(Terrorist is going into 6th next year). Lost by a goal, but proud of my pup, who netted one, had a few other opportunities and late in the 1 goal game, was put out on the PP line for the last 1:30 or so.
