|
|
Just got back from a local sports shop getting a tennis racket re strung and saw some cool stuff.
They had the 2009 Shane limited bindings and I couldn't believe how light they are. I tried them on though and did not like the fit at all. So I'm sticking with Ronix for bindings.
But I've been having some knee issues lately and really want a softer landing board. I love everything about my one board except for landings. I've always had my eye on the watson since it first came out and this shop had 3 of the 2009 limiteds and I thought they were pretty cool. I really would like to give this board a shot this summer and found it for a smokin deal.
My question: Will my 08 Ronix ones fit on the 2009 Watson?
opinions of the watson board are welcome _________________ Wake Forest University

alright thanks! I'm still on the fence on the whole thing. I love my ronix and just get all excited thinking about a new board that I may not really need.. If i got hurt on the one i'd probably get hurt on the watson... _________________ Wake Forest University |

true, but my bindings are at home right now and I finish school in a week. There might be a 2009 watson at the overtons at home and maybe they'd let me do that.. _________________ Wake Forest University |

| youll loose the outer most hole option since youll have to use that attachement thing for the binding. BUt the new Ronix bindings use alot less space than the older bindings, so its more like you are loosing half of the space between the last hole and the second to last hole - if that makes any sense at all |

bridges, I actually really like the board a lot.. but I strained my PCL pretty bad falling on a 360 last year..
from there, anytime I landed in the flats, between the wakes on one wake jumps, and especially casing the wake, it caused more discomfort reaggravation with my knee. Mainly I hate how ronix says since their boards land fast they don't need any concavity which is total bull.
So like I said I'm looking for something that'll be nice on the knee. I've eyed the watson since 06, and seeing the limited today in person was awesome. And since I found it for 200 bucks I feel like it might be time to try something new. _________________ Wake Forest University |

yea, thats the best way to put it.. I can walk fine and everything but sometimes it just feels different/weird.
I picked up an EVS knee stabilizer that I really like a lot. I feel like it helps a bit. _________________ Wake Forest University |

so i reasearched and found this..
http://www.evogear.com/info/helpcenter/555.aspx
Stang, you have 7" binding plates on a 6" board spread so you lost the innermost and outermost stance options.
I'll have 8" binding plate on 6" board spread so i'd have to ride all the way out. I think i'm going to go for it though. I normally ride all the way out anyway and the watson then would be an extra inch out.. not too bad. _________________ Wake Forest University |

| if your getting a new board size than your other board you have it might be a little difference also.. but a inch or so isnt gunna be a huge difference... just my opinion.. |
