I just got insurance for my new boat for only 190 a year through progressive. Seems like a good deal to me. What do you guys think?

Does boat insurance fluctuate like car insurance based on the age of the insurer? Also, what's an "agreed value" policy?

Agreed value means that the owner and the insurer agree what the boat is worth.

I think I pay $230ish for an agreed policy on an 05 Supra 22SSV, so it sounds like you are in the ball park.

What limits do you have for liability? Some of those costs sound a bit low. Hope you you keep your liability, medical, and uninsured boater limits high.

ckdollar, time to get away from SF like I did. they used to eb pretty good, and for some boats probably still are. Check out Progressive!

I'm paying around $300 for my '00 Moomba Kamberra. Best I could find, and I checked about everywhere... SF wanted like $450...

I'm with State Farm and pay about $380 a year. I also had a claim on my boat about 3 years ago totaling $20,000.
