I've been lucky enough not to have any so far. My Dad had one several years ago and I could tell it was massive pain by the way he was acting. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

you just made sure you would get one by making that post. Was about to post the same thing about never getting one yesterday when I first read this thread, and decided it was not in my best interest. |

Okie Boarder, congrats on passing it!! After seeing the pain women go through giving birth last month and seeing the pain my dad was in from his stones, I gotta lean towards the kidney stone. I am doomed though. My dad had two, my uncle had 4, both of my cousins (dad's brothers kids) had two, and my grandpa had 3. The question isn't if, it's when? It is a weird thing to be genetically linked but for some reason it is. They all used to be huge tums poppers though and I think the calcium had to play a part in it, and I think I have only taken tums once in my life. Really don't think it matters though, i'm DOOMED. _________________ Liquid Force

I have had dozens and dozens of them and every operation for them under the sun. Have you had them run test on one to figure out what type they are? I get Calcium ones and my Uro put me on an all natural magnessium/Vitamin B suppliment called Theralith. Since I have been on it I have been kidney stone free for about 1 1/2 to 2 years now..Its worth every penny. Check it out if your stone type is calcium.

Same here, my dad would suck down a bottle or two of Tums a week. After his 3rd the doc finally asked him is he was taking and once he quit no more stones in the past 5 years. _________________

Tbonez,
I'm up to 10 or 11
Did you ever pass any of them?
I cought something in the strainer on friday and haven't had any pain since. it wasn't hard though and was a bit bigger then head of pencil. It broke up into a bunch of little pieces. Color was brown. What do you think? _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |

Having trouble telling if this is a serious post or not. If it was serious, you have caught your "pet rock." Take a look at it up close and marvel at how rough it is. Good indicator of why they hurt so bad. _________________

pet575,
You think so? I have a Pet?
I've been pain free since Friday. Keeping the fingers crossed. I'm still taking the Flowmax stuff, I was told to continue taking it for at least the next 7 days. However I'm going to the hockey game tonight (sharks) so I'll take a night off of taking it because I don't want to have to pee after every drink. Lineups for the washrooms are killer! _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |
