I like the 1st word RUMOR.
I don't see it happening. I've read several time over the past few years...."The iphone is come this (what ever season is next) to verizon."
And it still hasn't happened. |

It says apple is making a phone for verizon, didn't say it was an I-phone. I thought AT&T renewed their exclusivity aggreement with apple for another year. I would think that would limit how similiar apple could make the phone to the I-phone. I think At&t would be rather pissed shelling out big money for exclusivity only to have apple make an exact replica, call it a different name, and sell it to another provider.
As a verizon customer, it will be interesting to see what comes out. I can't help but think this a reaction to the growing android market. |

I've been seeing that Q3 of 2010 is when the iphone will be available for verizon because that is when the current deal with AT&T expires. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

exactly. better network... better phone... Switched from an iPhone to the Droid. I love it. Android is such a better platform anyway. Sounds like Apple wants a slice, but as of now I will never switch back to an apple OS phone. I'm glad someone finally put out a good platform for manufacturers to develop a solid iphone competitor. |

I keep hoping the Android operating system will keep up or get better than the iphone, but all of the ones I've tried are unquestionably inferior...
Apple says Verizon probably wouldn't even be the next carrier for the iPhone. It would be T-Mobile. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

Don't really know how well T-Mobile is doing. A good friend of mine was pretty high up in management for the Nashville area, and he just took a severance package to leave. He said lots of people were gonna be laid off soon. Don't know how true all of that is, but he's always been pretty sincere. maybe it's nothing, I don't know.
I've had Verizon for years. I wouldn't consider switching to ATT or anything else, but i will say I hate how they do business. I've got my 4th BB right now. It costs me $60 extra/month for the data package, and you can't get email or web phones without it. They also take out the programming to Bluetooth pics and ringtones to other phones> They push the "get it now" network and make you buy their stuff. There are ways around it, but just having the BT feature would be so much easier. |

my girlfriend has an iphone and i have a moto droid and we have typed in the same websites at the same time and the moto is about 10 seconds faster. I have played with many iPhones but they are just too simple for me. i love my droid. |

the android OS already is better than the iphone's OS. Apple is playing catchup with the iphone 4. |

I have been really happy with my HTC Droid Eris. It recently got upgraded to the 2.0 operating system which was like getting a new phone. It does get a bit sluggish every now and then, but a reboot usually fixes that. It is nothing that would make me switch to At&t. At the rate android is going, I don't think I would switch to an iphone even if verizon picked it up. In a year and a half when I am up for a new phone I am sure the android phones will be even smoother. |

It'll be released a few weeks after Verizon formally announces their new tiered pricing for data. Have fun with that one... _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com

scott a, What makes you think they would change their data plans? With Blackberry's and Droids, they already have phones that use just as much data as an iphone would. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

The CEO said they would be switching over... Quote: | Verizon's move would follow rival carrier AT&T Inc.'s decision in June to stop selling an unlimited data plan to new customers and begin selling two service plans with monthly caps. | The language of the article suggests that the new data plans may only affect phones on VZW's upcoming LTE network, and not current customers on the CDMA network. So the iPhone may not be included in this. But Verizon still doesn't have the iPhone so... _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com
