|

Received one of these as a gift last year. I have an old-style fitting on my ballast bag, so I had to use the adapter in order to fit the hose on the new pump to the old fitting on the bag. Second use, broken adapter. Water spraying everywhere during use.
Can't find a replacement anywhere and there is no local dealer for me, so I called the number on the website to make a warranty claim. A little confusing, since the phone systems answers and said that you've reached Liquid Force.
Talked to Mike there and, rather than getting involved in a warranty claim, he is going to send me a couple of these adapters free of charge once they come in from back order. Bottom line, if things go as promised then MAJOR props to Straightline/Liquid Force for taking care of me. Mike was very friendly and willing to help and he knew his stuff.
I'll update when I know something worth sharing. _________________

Just to update. Mike came through on his promise and sent me a couple of adapters. MAJOR props to SL/LF on attempting to take care of me, but the adapters were not what I needed.
Here is a pic of the kit:
The piece I need is the one that is up and to the left from the blue piece. The one they sent was the one that is down and to the left from the blue piece.
Mike says I can turn this in as a warranty claim if it was purchased within one year. Problem is, this was given to me as a Christmas gift in 2008. However it did not get used until May 2009 and then it broke after 1-2 uses. I've been getting by, but I want it fixed right. In order to turn this in as a warranty claim, I have to return the ENTIRE kit-which leaves me with no pump- and it takes about 2 weeks once they receive it to tell me what the story is. If the warranty claim is denied, then I have to buy an entire kit because this piece is not sold individually. BAD NEWS FOR ME.
I've run some searches, but I can't find this part ANYWHERE for sale. Maybe I'm not using the correct search terms or something? Can SOMEONE help me find this part so I can stop pumping water into my boat that doesn't make it into the bag?
If I can't find the part, I guess my choices are to buy a bag with the "new" fitting or buy this pump again.

Anyone think it might be possible for me to just use some hardware store supplies, like the correct-sized reinforced vinyl tubing or something similar with some hose clamps and threaded fittings to make this work? Seems like it might be a permanent fix for less than $20. _________________

taitrt, wrong piece.
pet575, I have that piece. My pump is toast, but I still have the fittings that came with it. I'll PM you. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

You must not have ever had a water bed. |
Okie is correct. The blue piece is not the problem.

Thanks Okie. MUCH APPRECIATED. _________________
