Does a 138 work for a 135 pound rider?

Is that size board good for an intermidiate 135 pound boat and cable rider? the board I'm lookin at is the Slingshot recoil. Would that be good for my new board? And is it as light as the reflex? And would my old hyperlite XL remix bindings work for it?

not sure on board weights but it will definately hold you if thats your problem. you could probably ride a 135cm.... im 210lbs and i ride a 135

Yes, one good thing about flex is that because of the thin design of the board you can ride a bigger board without noticing an increase in swing weight. The larger board will give you softer landings as well. Win win on all counts.

The Recoil and Reflex are the same construction and should weigh about the same, the difference however slight, would be inconsequential. As for your boots, make sure you get at least on 08, as that is when they added the standard boot inserts.

I have 09 hyperlite remix bindings and a hyperlite primer right now. I want a new board because the primer is too heavy and doesn't have enough pop to get me across my tiny wake. Would I be able to ride my current bindings on a new recoil easily?

I'm 5'11'' and 155 lbs and I ride a 134. I've tried riding larger boards like a 141 and they are more sluggish. If you google wakeboard weight chart the first link is a simple to read chart of suggestions. I would probably add 20lbs to your weight when looking at the chart though. so if you weigh 160lbs look at the section for 180lbs.

138cm here, with 140 LBS, so actually by chart, pretty big for me, But thats better, bigger is better.

NKCrider, a 140 will make a world of difference for you. It will have more pop, softer landings, and won't break as easily as a 135 will being 210 lbs.
