| Guys, Im looking at an 06 Launch 20 with 60 hrs. Boat is in near mint condition and was wanting some input. Iv always had I/O boats and am new to the inboard. The boat has 750 lbs of ballast so will this boat have a decent wake for intermediate wakeboarding or not? |

This boat will have a very decent wake. Take it for a test drive, although its not a huge boat, it does pump out a decent wake, you can always upgrade the bags to gravity games bags too.
Good luck with the search. |

Sounds like a decent set up. The Launch has a similar hull to my older Sunsport. I ran 750 pounds of weight last year and it threw a nice wake. I'm going to try to load it up a little more this year.
Is this a V-drive or Direct Drive? _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

| It is a d-drive. Boat has 400lbs ballast in the back compartment and a 350lb bag in the front center storage. Boat also has wake plate. Does this make the wake bigger or just adjust the size? |

As far as I know the wake plate just helps with wake shape to help clean it up and make it more crisp. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

| The wakeplate will help shape your wake. The Launch 20 is built on a slalom hull but with ballast the wake will be pretty decent. It is fairly steep with a firm lip but not just real big. For what the boat is, it's pretty good but no v-drive wake. |

| The price sounds okay. Whether it is a good deal or not is decided by what you are going to use the boat for and how long you plan to keep it. If you are going to both ski and wakeboard, this sounds like a good deal. If you are only going to be wakeboarding and if you think you might want to surf, there may be better options out there. Where are you located? I know of a 2005 Supra 21V for around that price. With a boat like that you get a v-drive that had one of the best wakeboard wakes on the market. |

| Fritz, I just bought an '05 Supra 22SSV w/100 hrs for $28K. I had to drive 8 hrs to get it, but it was worth it. I think there are good deals to be had if you do your homework. By the way, if you're near Shreveport me and some buddies will be stringing 'em up once it gets warm. |

| From a private party. If you buy out of state, you don't pay taxes on the boat if you buy it from a private party. You just have to pay taxes on the trailer and you still have to pay the title/registration on the boat. I think my total fees for boat & trailer registration was right at $200. If you buy from a dealer, whether in-state or out, you will pay taxes on it. Private party is the way to go. PM me if you want help going through the hoops. They are slightly complicated. |
