Woo Hoo! Finally got it. Picked it up from the plant and can't be more excited. Not even 24 hours of owning it, I had the amp board rack pulled out, Wetsounds Amps put in, Swapped the Interiors with XS650s, and working on installing the EQ and sub.Wiring is getting there and its not finished or cleaned up yet, but I thought i'd post the pics. BTW, the XS650 and Mtx's share the same screwholes! no additional drilling, yay! The pro80s will be going on there shortly too! Thought I'd share. If any of you remember my Tahoe Q6 I had, you will understand the color choice, can't stray from it lol..Enjoy! _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Todays work...The sub wire is that blue wire. It is not permanent and it will be cleaned up and hidden. Nightfall was approaching and I just was making sure all my connections and amps powered properly. _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Wow, cool. I finally got to look at one at the boat show yesterday. Having to crawl up into the bow of a $50K plus boat seems awkward to me but I really like everything else about it and it's sweet runway of a trailer. Congrats! I bet it's going to sound awesome. |

Thanks everybody for the comments, we are excited for sure. The color combos, trailer colors, all matched well and it turned out to look pretty sick. The camera phone pic I took of it doesnt do the yellow justice. Its so much nicer lol.
Dredd, We came from an I/O so I like that we have all that interior to crawl around and hang out on, plus those seats flip up on both sides to create 2 more seats. Couldnt pass that up. Now to just get all the stereo stuff finished up and then get the weather to cooperate with non freezing conditions and I'm ready! lol
I can get the first part done by the end of the week, looks like im at weathers mercy then...sigh _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

The white cover was the shrink wrap it came in. I have the Axis cover for it now too. The Axis cover is trailerable and is snug. _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

SilverMustang35, did Axis prewire everything for you, or did you have to do the wiring to the speaker locations (tower in particular)? |

jjaszkow,
Axis prewired everything for me. Tower wires we sitting in the tower ready to be used and they were zip tied in the OB compartment and ready for hookup. They use unmarked wires for the tower, but they are pretty heavy duty. One side is square the other is round on the wires so I put square to hot to speaker and amp and round to negative and kept it uniform for the other speaker. In the boat it was color coded wiring and black was always negative on the interiors and hots were different for each speaker. The even labeled the RCA's for me on both sides. It helped especially when hooking up the EQ.
They did a really good job on it all. Everything was also wire loomed and screwed down. I was impessed by this as my old boat it was me looming everything and screwing it down. _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

I am looking at custom ordering an axis a22 at the end of this month. Did you have to go through a local dealership or were you able to deal directly with axis? |

Chatt wake, I'm sorry I didnt see the response you posted. For some reason it didnt even alert me.. The amps are a Syn2, a Syn4, and a SynMicro.
The Syn2 pushes the pro80s, the Syn4 pushes the interiors and the SynMicro pushes the sub. I went with a wetsounds XF-10FA sub. It in a .75Cf sealed box. We are putting it on the drivers side in the footwell area. I have a friend making a plexi panel that integrates the heater vent and the slot for the carpet to go into.
Ink, you have to go through a dealership to get the A22 ordered. What I did that worked out best was made the list of everything I wanted that I found off the website. The only thing not listed on there is the Z5 cargo rack. I called the dealership up and told them everything and then once the order was placed I verified it with Axis/Malibu. Matt and Adam P. both verified my order and they were really a huge help.
They are really great people and a great company to deal with. If you have any questions on anything you can ask them or feel free to ask me and I will help ya as much as I can. Ive pretty much studied this thing up and down and have a pretty good idea how it all comes together from start to finish. Guess thats my OCD of continually looking up every part of it and understanding how it all comes together...lol _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

SilverMustang35, how does the tower fold down? Is it a simple operation, or something you would only want to do once a season? |

jjaszkow, the tower has 4 thumb bolts (2 on each side on the top)that I ordered with it (quick removable knobs). You then just walk the tower down from there and it sits in the interior on the sides of the seat...Its pretty simple yes...Before I was ready to move it out to the barn, for the first week I'd say I was putting the tower up and down to put it back under the carport...If you want to remove the supporting arms; thats just another 4 quick remove knobs (2 on the bottom of each side)... _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

So, kinda been slackin on putting pics up, here is the panel so far for the sub. We are still trying to place it and it will have red LEDs behind it to show the WS logo. The logo is actually raised from the panel. We also incorporated the heater vent on there and we are cutting the bottom for the carpet to roll into. It is coming along well. Weather is starting to turn better, just making sure we dont have a cold snap again before riding. Im getting that itch to ride though. I also got a better picture from when we put it in the boat show. _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Thanks Chattwake,
I think we are almost ready to say its done for stereo work, and ive started loading things into it that I took out of the other boat before we traded. Putting the things in this one I'm noticing how much more room I have and how much we really didnt have in the other boat lol...Even with the back sides not used since the plug and play goes there and the same with the front, the OB is huge and I still have other places for storage...yay _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Finished up the panel last night. Put 4 LEDs in, two fire down to your feet and two fire up almost to make it look like the WS logo is breathing. It looks really good and brought the sub to life too. I think its good to call the stereo project completed...for now
The other picture is from my first ride of the season and on the boat lol
Water temp was 52 and air was around 65 to 70ish in parts...as we went down the water, it would drop 10 degrees in air around a turn. _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Thanks TNR6Rida, They sound tons louder than they did on the I/O. Same Amps, speakers etc. But my guess is because we had the 80s on the I/O mounted to the side of the tower due to the bimini, it was never adjusted and imaged right. Since these were just hang and go, I think it imaged out alot better. I had the speaker sox on em, and my drysuit hood and could still hear the music perfect. Granted the Speaker sox are transparent, I think its in my head that they sound louder with the covers off _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |

Surf wake only gets bigger as we put more people on that side . I've got some more pics on my server I need to upload on here. This was all I could find on my laptop. _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |
