Well, sold the DD Moomba and picked up this new leftover 08 Z1.I got a heck of a deal on it and didnt have to go far to pick it up.It has the upgraded system with all wetsounds stuff and I like the interior layout. It has the taps2,340hp engine, transom entertainment system, matching trailer, cruise, bimi, ect..I also got them to throw in a cover,1st service, and a Ronix mainline in before I signed the papers lol..I havent even picked the boat up yet, I had to come offshore to work and I left it with the dealer to clean up and repair a small nick on the corner of the swim platform where it got bumped by some shop personell on a forklift lol..Boat has 0.6 hrs on it from a demo.I was looking at a vlx or a x2 but for the price I couldnt pass this one up..I'll get more pics ASAP. _________________ A bad day on the water beats a good day at work! |

If you don't mind telling, how much was the boat? Just the Tige, not the final price after money down, trade, etc., etc./ _________________ just livin' man, just livin' |

They were asking 41k, I got it for 35 before TT&L..Pretty good for a brand new boat I thought. In 08 I think they had it listed for 48 or so.I cant wait for a little bit warmer weather to try out my wetsuit, new board, and see what kinda wake I can get outta the boat!It was hard to leave it at the dealer for the repair, but I knew I'd put it in the water and have to winterize it again that day lol.Weather has been crazy in east Tx. _________________ A bad day on the water beats a good day at work! |

PM replied.
Resale red and a great starting price to boot! About the weather, global warming/climate change is bogus! It's been one of the coldest/wettest past year in my area in about 20+ years the weather man's been saying. _________________ just livin' man, just livin' |

May be a couple weeks before I get outta the gulf to take the pics.
My wife says its snowing at home now anyhow, I'd rather be at work while the weather is bad than at home.
Oh and I'm a sucker for red, gonna look like a kool-aid advertisement going down the road behind my truck lol.

i ALMOST bought that boat! Reeve's Marine in Shreveport? I had a lot of questions about it that they couldn't answer. There were large bird feathers in the pass side rear locker; like someone plucked their Christmas turkey in there. Seriously. The boat has been sitting outside as a display for so long that the seats had already started to fade. I saw the boat on their site for 37,995, went to look at it and they told me 41k. I pointed out to the guy that it said 3k less on the site, and he said "Well, that's our internet special price... walk in price is 41k."
No sir, Ill head to bayou outdoor. AFAIK that is the last Tige that Reeve's is going to sell. They are getting out of the wake boat business.
Bayou outdoor has some killer deals on X2's right now. more than 37,995, but the x2 is a much better boat. |

Thats the one pateaux. It has been sitting outside and they could have taken better care of it.I have contacted Tige' and they said if the interior doesnt hold up it will be replaced.Has 3 year warranty ect..It did clean up excellent though! I was more than happy with the deal.I think reeves is going to go completely under lol.I was wanting that black x2 @ bayou REAL bad, and Bernie said he could get me a red VLX but for the price I couldnt see 30k worth of difference. The only thing the Tige doesnt have that was a must on my list is ballast, but I have everything sitting @ the house to plump my system in I think short of a few fittings. _________________ A bad day on the water beats a good day at work! |

Thats cool man. Congrats on the purchase. I know the X2 your talking about. A very close friend of mine has a Tige at bayou on consignment, as soon as it sells, (if it sells) he is going to get that X2.
Im a Malibu guy. I have a 23 LSV now, (for sale!!!!) and really, really want the purple/gold LSV that Bayou has out front. LSU!!! |

I love the wake.I just wish the boat had auto ballast.I have a jabsco pump, all the fittings, thru hulls,hose,ect..I plan to install this winter. It takes me 30-40 mins to fill it all with the 1 tsunami but I leave it full while I'm off and trailer it loaded (only 6 miles to river).I run fly high 400's in the rear,a 400 in the walkway, and the bow sac about 3/4 full with taps @ 3 @ 25mph @70'.Its plenty big, firm, and rampy.I also ride behind a rz4,supra 22' and a BU vls.I like the z1 and the BU the best.It gets aggravating at times with the sac in the walkway but its gotta have the bow weight or its gets washy.Everyone that has rode it liked it.I can go 21-22mph with the same setup, but I'm 6'6" 245lbs and it seems like I get more pop with the extra speed. It's roomy, but when we go from mine to the rz4 or bu I can tell the difference.2 or 3' makes a big difference. With all the bow weight a noob driver will dunk it now and then.Surf wake is awsome..I wouldnt have bought it without the auto ballast but I got a heck of a deal on it. _________________ A bad day on the water beats a good day at work! |

peetee79, I second that.
I live in South Africa and you pay about R840 000(ZAR), which amounts to about $120 000 US for a '08 Mastercraft X45 with about 80hrs on it. Anything to do with boats here in SA are ridiculously priced!!! |

There isn't much Tige love on this site but I personally love them. I've never ridden behind one of teh new ones but I rode a few 21v's from the early 2000's and I really liked them. Great looking boat. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

Thanks all! No problems from it yet, just a shame summer is gone and it'll be straight up winter in a few weeks.
Cant be as bad as WW with the "Tige' tramp stamp" in every thread lol..
And to the guys overseas, those prices are crazy! I'll sell you mine for 50k USD, you pay shipping lol.. _________________ A bad day on the water beats a good day at work! |

This is the problem with other countries. The moment $70K boat, car etc cross customs, their government slaps 50-100% tax for import. Plus shipping 4-5,000 LB to SA will be not chip ether.
If I live in SA I'd open satellite MastterCraft (or other leading brand) production. Using local labor, resources and buy the research and design from original manufacture. |
