Last summer I was about 50% on my toe back ones but I never really understood what I was doing right when I landed them. Half the time I would pop it and my body would go straight as I would almost get pulled out the front without ever getting a chance to pass the handle. These attempts usually ended with me landing wrapped (the wrong way) and me doing everything I could to not plant my nose.

The other half of the time I would feel the pop real hard, pass the handle at my butt, stay centered and ride away like nothing. But I dont know what I was doing right.

And what do I need to focus on for a toe back 3? I assume that once I get the technique down for the ones this will be a lot easier. I tried three of them last year, one I got past 270 and washed out, the other two I came up short and caught my edge real bad. Any tips?

I don't have any experience with the 3, but on the ts bs180 I focus on keeping the handle really tight to my lead hip when I come off the wake - I mean 4 inches from my hip- and really focus on waiting to spin in the air. I always get yanked over the front if I don't do those things.

This. If you're getting pulled over, you're not keeping the handle on your hip.
