|
|
Hopefully someone on here can help me somewhat. I'm trying to build some suction pods for my cnc. All I need to locate is a decently airtight rubber 1/2"-3/4" thick. The largest piece I need is only 4"x6" so not very big. If I cant find good rubber that thick(butyl rubber is the best I hear for being air tight) then I can probably work with 1/16"-1/8" stuff, just have to redesign a little. Any ideas?
I contacted a local rubber/gasket store asking but no reply yet.
Even if I can find something to pour myself. Looking for any ideas to keep me moving at the moment. _________________

CNC = Computer Numerical Control
in simple terms Computer guided cutting and milling. _________________ Is President Obama a Keynesian? |

Haha sorry to confuse
fish6942, why do I always forget to check there. Think I'm gonna grab something that might work.
CNC is a computer controlled router that basically routes or drills what we program it too, as many times as we tell it to. It's my cabinet business that owns it. The parts are held down by a vacuum and suction cups while the machine is operating. The suctions cups wear out and get destroyed occasionally and at $450 a piece you can see why I'd like to build them. _________________
