Wakfest in the back in B.C. for 2010!

Wakefest has always been the biggest summer bash to ever come to kelowna 7 years running. But after a incident in 2007, involving too many juice monkey's hopped up on booze and coke, tried to take on an onslaught of police and security, city council has refused its return for 2 years

I was sitting on a hill over looking the main coors light beer garden when a fight broke out. It took six cops to try and subdue this one guy who looked like the friggen hulk!. They jumped on his back tazerd him but nothing would stop this guy!! Finally they shocked him and beat him long enough to cuff and arrest him.


The event was scheduled to return to Kelowna this summer, however, organizers cancelled it due to scheduling conflicts with a number of international pro wake boarding events.

The city of Penticton has given the green light to hosting the International Wakeboard Championships beginning in July 2010, a three year contract.
