Got screwed over by the lady doing our new couch. That will be fun to deal with.

Went to get my new chair, only to find out they sold it, and it will be another 4-6 weeks for another one. Another "see me pissed" moment.

Coughing so bad I tasted blood. Went to the Doc and diagnosed with Perstasis (Chronic cough).....wheeeeeee.

Truck barely moves and when I try all she does is pump out white smoke and not go anywhere. FUBAR'd injectors, cat, plugs, coils, or all of the above. In the shop now preparing me for the anal ripping I'm sure to feel.

I broke a damn wrench clean in half, which allowed my hand to go at full speed into the ball joint of the jeep which felt like I punched a steel wall with edges. OW.

Tried to go to sleep and coughed so hard I nearly threw up. Wife was worried to death.

So, how everybody's week going?

[/pity party] Laughing

Sad Sorry you're having a sucky week - hate when those happen.

Officially back in FL now after almost being stuck in JFK overnight due to delayed/canceled flights. Have 5 different guests coming to stay with me in the next week and a half. Cleaned the apartment all morning and did a huge food shopping run at Walmart at 2am last night after my flight. Hopefully NYE will be fun!

If you rearrainge just a few words, your week is going much better.

"Screwed the lady over our new couch."

Just so I'm clear though, what's the deal with this truck? What truck is it, and how have you been able to get to work? That sucks.

That was me last week. My radiator blew on a very busy street, in front of the largest mall in IL, in a snow storm. Grrrreat. Had a new one and all my tools to change it in the trunk because I had planned on doing it the following day, not gonna happen so it gets done in a shipping dock. Missed a big racquetball game with my buds from out of town and an ugly sweater party instead. Bubb Rubbing "low coolant" light still won't go off though it's good to go. The tapered oil cooler and trans lines need o-rings so they don't leak, seems pretty weak but whatever if it blows again it blows right??? Mad

cameraboy, It's a 2005 F-150 with the 5.4L V8. They have an injector recall. The injectors may stay open or closed. Depending on which one happens, what happens to the truck.

It's driveable, if you like going slow. But Ford won't fix it unless when you bring it in, the injectors are stuck open/closed. The motor will be running fine at 55mph. Hit the gas, the gears change, and the engine tries to rev but sputters and the truck loses power and actually slows down instead of speeding up. I've taken it in before, but if they aren't stuck, I'm SOL. So I have to keep driving hard on her till they are stuck. Well yesterday they were damn well stuck. Limped it into work today.

Hollywood, probably still air in the line near the sensor for the low coolant. That sucks, been there.

J_DOGG, I would say my wife still loves me, but after the furniture fiasco I think she was ready to kill anyone who touched her. So I gave her lots of space yesterday. Thus me being in the shop breaking crap.

haugy, I had the same problem with my F-150. Took it into Ford several times and they replaced several coils and a few other parts but never fixed it. It was intermittent on my truck and finally went away on its own around 50,000 miles. I would lose power driving down the highway and the AC would start blowing hot air, after a few miles it would run normal.

they won't just change the injectors without them actually being stuck? WTF? There's a f'ing recall... ugh.... the people that make it the most difficult to buy American are the f'ing americans making the products half the time...

haugy, my Jeep is coding that the Steering Angle Sensor has failed, $800 fix. Just put new tires on, but they didn't have the tires I ordered so I went with some cheap (Remington Brute) all terrains as I think I'm going to sell the Grand Cherokee for a truck soon. I was also informed I need to do rear brakes, transfer case output seal and other small repairs. Not to mention some jackhole punched in my bumper while parking. Fortunately it's all plastic and I popped it back out but it's not perfect and that bothers me. But this week is a $2K+ repair/maintenance week.

Still battling the City on repairing a City owned sidewalk that a City owned tree broke that apparently I'm financially responsible for. They have me dead to rights but I'm pushing deadlines and I think my time and thier patience is running out.

Just when you think your head is above water again, the bills start flooding in. I was really hoping to pay off my jeep but now it's not looking so good.

I think I'm going to buy myself some toys to make things better. Like a netbook and AK74 (seriously).

Nor*Cal, brakes are easy, you can do those. Transfer case output seal, is not too hard. You need to make some 4wd friends out there. If I didn't do the work myself, for $100 and the parts I could have both of those done here from a friend. I only go to the dealership for the major stuff.

Yeah, the SAS will suck.

Don't you run the city? Come'on man, get on it, take over Commiefornia already.

Is that a typo or are you actually looking at the 74? If it's not a typo then I'd think, with ammo still hard to find on high usage calibers, that finding 5.45mm rounds would be like trying to find Waldo at a candy cane factory!

Been a bad holiday in general. My Mom's spa/salon got closed down the day after Christmas, and we had to move everything around Christmas holidaY and my trip to the inlaws. She is crushed to say the least. My friend's mom passed away from cancer 2 days before Christmas. Multiple people = crushed. Trip to the inlaws = brutal.

Ready for 2010 is an understatement.

haugy, yeah the dealership quoted me on all these small repairs I can do myself. I have done brakes before, just ordered the transfer case output seal, hood strut, and other small repairs parts. The SAS has to be done by the dealership after calling a few shops looking for quotes.

I really only deal with state politics and don't interact with local politicians. That being said I have people in the Mayor's office if things get too heated but the city code is in place and there isn't a way around it. And like the Jeep, if I can do the work myself I will. It's just time and some money right? Shocked This month has just been expensive especially considering property tax was due on the 12/10. Tired of cutting these big checks.

Oh I feel ya. I was up till 2 am doing brakes and a tranny fluid on my F-150 one wednesday night because that was the only time I had to do it. But it save me $500, so it was worth it.

Good luck man.

Rhawn, bummer about your moms store. I'm ready to kiss the umm.....0's goodbye and am ready for the teens. (referencing the 40's, 50's, 60's, etc)

Not a typo... I think it's a better gun than the 47, of course you might be able to enlighten me. From my basic searches the 5.45mm is slightly more expensive than the 7.62mm and comparable to the 5.56mm in price. However, the receiver and kit are a lot cheaper than the guns that use the 5.56mm. Kind of a nostalgia purchase, I've also found a kit and receiver for a Thompson that I would like to pick up one of these days. Of course, I will strictly abide by all Federal, State and Local laws, which are additionally cumbersome because I live in the People's Republik of California.

Found out the hard way last night that whomever installed the shutoff valves in my 2nd floor master bath didn't do such a good job on one of them....found out as I was turning the water on after putting in a new faucet, and the valve blew off the pipe. Ran outside to turn the water off at the meter, when I got inside it was raining in the kitchen.

Been sick for over a week now.

Just dropped the truck off to get new tires and several other things done to it.

Trying to prepare to go to a funeral for some close family/lake friends that died in a house fire over the weekend.

Trying to get year end stuff done for some clients when I was supposed to be taking some time off with the family.

Definitely another $hitty week.

Nor*Cal, The 74 is definitely more accurate than the 47. With a little less recoil you can acquire your target faster between shots, but you lose a little penetration with the smaller projectile. (insert jokes here! Embarassed )

Again, my only concern would be finding ammo for a 74. Up until about a month ago I was still having trouble finding .308 rounds here in Ohio without paying an arm and a leg or having to wait 4-6 weeks and that's a pretty common NATO round. Heck, I'm still finding it hard to get .357 Sig ammo today. I wouldn't even want to attempt the ammo hunt you'll be going through in Commifornia!

haugy, I'll join the Pity Party. My head, neck, jaw, and now a tooth have been achy and throbbing off and on for the past three months. The past week it's been nonstop and excruciatingly painful. I'm bouncing between doctors, dentists, chiropractors, specialists, physical therapists. Tomorrow will be my 5th consecutive day in a doctor's office. YIPEE.

I'm sure wakeboarding has something to do with this injury. All the whiplash over the years can't be good for you. Laughing

Furniture companies suck. We ordered stuff for our bedroom to replace the stuff we "handed down" to baby back Labor Day weekend, should have had it by early November, instead got it just before Christmas.

been there.. done that.

I was remodeling my master bath earlier this year, and "forgot" to put one of the valves on, on my wife side of the dual sinks. She came in and was talking and I lost track of what I was doing. I thought I was totally done. I let the glue dry for an hour. I went outside to turn the water back on. When I came back in my bath and half of my bedroom had been soaked! It sprayed so hard on the ceiling, that the popcorn crap come off and I had to re-finish it!

I FAILED!

It got worse. 2am rolls around I decide that I'm going to walk over there drunk because, well, I dont really have a good reason. I'm just a dumby wumby.
This was the result. She popped me good, wearing a ring too. Hurts like a mofo. Evil or Very Mad
