What does everybody use to rip DVDs to hardrive? Specifically TS files?
I have DVD Decrypter, but it doesn't seem to be working anymore.

That's what I've always used. Look for a new version.

Thats what I still use and install on machines im workin on...works great for me...you can also download dvd fab...I believe its free too....how much hard drive space do you have free? it could help if you have more than 10 percent free, also how big is your paging file and how much RAM do you have? are you seeing issues when ripping single layer and dual layer?

Well its a clean install about 63GB free out of 100. and 4GB ram.
It also doesn't seem to be creating the Separate audio and video TS folders with "stream processing" enabled....

Just makin sure it was a clean install...ive seen before where somebody has 2gb free or something and it just clogs down...Ram is fine too..I've not used stream processing ...DVD shrink will rip them too I believe..I know I use it to burn..but I think you can rip too.

yeah, reason I asked about paging file is because i've seen some ppl wiht 512 of ram and everything is eating it so I bump it up and use the hdd space for it the "memory"...obviously this isnt something that even needs to be touched here since you have 4gb Ram Razz

Well i couldn't get DVD decrypter to work, but after 4 times DVD shrink worked. It would get to 7% and say "read error" but it worked fine the 4th time.
I restarted the computer and it worked, but not real sure that was the ultimate reason for it.

i used to use decrypter/dvd shrink now i use: DVDFAB6 to rip an iso image, then if the image is large or needs to be fixed i run it through FixVTS, then encode with dvd shrink then i burn the iso image with IMGBURN.

If that doesn't work try running slysoft AnyDVD with dvd decrypter and then burn with dvd shrink.

Depending on the DVD i usually have to run some sort of combo between those programs

Heres the list of them : DVDFAB6, FixVTS, Slysoft Any DVD, DVD Shrink, DVD decrypter, IMGBurn.

The lengths we go through to pirate Laughing

Still works for most movies, but occasionally I'll get one it won't work with.

But hey, I hardly ever use it anymore thanks to free torrents Wink

I use decryptor as well and the only time I have had any problems is with a few new releases that have just come out. Probably just needs an update or something

I tried UP with a new install and not even close to going...however, DVDfab ran perfectly, with no issues....

DVD Fab & handbrake are not bad choices, but I personally like using iskysoft dvd ripper, but that just me.
