|
| Those of you that keep your boats in the garage with the tower folded, do you use something to support the tower or do you just leave it folded on itself? It seems to me like leaving it folded on itself throughout the winter wouldn't be very good for it, but I haven't come up with a good way to support it. I have a Nautique 220 for reference.

I'm not sure how yours rests, but I use a piece of carpet at the location my tower meets my boat. However, I don't break mine down for long periods of time (i.e. winter).

It doesn't come all the way down onto the boat. It folds back over the front of the boat, but the tower hits the legs of the tower and stops before it reaches the boat.
Basically the whole tower is supported by resting on a small contact point between the tower and the legs of the tower and then it floats over the front of the boat. Not sure I explained that very well.

| I thought about hanging it, but I can't because of the garage door. We have to raise it once every day or two for various reasons.

Malibu makes a crutch that you can buy. I had one for one of the boats I had. I never used it but it was just the right size with a small plastic top. I would just make something that looked likea crutch or if you could find a kid crutch that might be the perfect size.

| I use one of those cheap curtain rods (expandable)...it has a rubber foot on each end. I have the Illusion tower and when the rod is compressed it fits perfectly underneath, keeping the tower off of the dash.

I always keep my tower up whenever it is in the garage, but this is only possible because the ceiling height of my garage is high enough to accommodate this.
