Hey guys,
Great forum, lots of good stuff. My family had an 89 Malibu Skier while I was growing up, but had to get rid of it 12 years ago. My Dad/Mom just went in half with my Wife and myself on a boat. We wanted an open bow this time, and something bigger than our old boat. My Dad is a skier and I wanted to get into wakeboarding and maybe surfing. The only catch was our $5000 total limit ouch. I really liked some of the late 80's Supras but were too much.
After lots of research I found a 1990 Malibu Euro F3 Mystere 215LX open bow listed at $6,500 from a dealer. I emailed him asking if the price was negotiable and he responded with $6,000 otd! I couldn't believe he dropped that much right away. We drove an hour to get there, and got him down to $5,500 otd.
The boat has 510 hours, a Proflite tower with racks and bimini, freshwater cooling system, a descent stereo, tandem trailer and he threw in a boat cover.
We are very excited. The actuator was bone dry and rusty, so we converted the trailer to disc brakes already. What do you guys think?

All that for 5.5K, that's great!

Enjoy it!

Nice boat. I've never seen one where the tower went outside then inside.

Great budget boat right there, congrats.

Pretty nice. Seems like it has a fair amount of freeboard to work with so you should be able to put a little weight in it. I'd love to see some wake pics too. Congrats!

Thanks for the comments. It needs a good buff/wax job . I was able to take it out once this season, just to see what it needs for over the winter.
Here are some wake pics, not very clear. When we pulled the boat out, there was lots of water coming out from the plug hole. I don't think the bilge pump was working. The second pic was the last run of the day, with some accidental ballast.
