Alright I know a thread was just made about the same subject, but I want to make sure I am not missing any camps that I should consider if I am going to go to a wakeboard camp. I have pretty much narrowed it down to a camp in florida. So far I have looked at all of these camps:

http://www.worldwakeboardcenter.com/
http://www.wakeboardorlando.com/
http://orlandowakeboard.com/
http://www.theprojectscamp.com/

Are there any other camps in florida that I should take a look at? It seems like these are all of the big ones.
I live in Ohio so I am really just looking for a way to improve my riding over the winter. My family is about to purchase a wakeboarding boat (X-star), and since I have never rode behind a wakeboarding boat regularly I figure that this would be a good way to start off my first season behind a real wake. I am just now learning a few mobes and have pretty much all the base inverts down behind our ski boat.
Is it a bad idea to go in the middle of winter since I will not have rode in a couple months? I will work out every day up until then so I know I can handle it physically, but would I get more benefit if I went next season after getting use to a wakeboarding boat? Or should I go during the season while I am in the prime of my riding?
TWC is looking very good, especially with the new deal they have on their front page now. A stay at OWC would also be pretty sweet with all the cable riding, but take into consideration I now have access to a cable park at Wake Nation at home.
Anyone have any input? |

It's worth going in the spring, mainly March. The water is warm enough to trunk it no problem by that time and the season will be close back home. As for camps, I like The Projects since there is a sick rail park, Sesitec 2.0, and boat with some of the best instruction you can get. Shaun Murray's Boarding School would be sick as well. The others are good so it's a toss up but I would go with pricing, boat choice, and instructors. Plus, if you come early you can come up to Daytona and ride with me and the gang in Daytona. |
